Accounts Payable Controller (sole charge role)
Based in Esher, 5 days per week
£30,000 - £32,000 + 20 days holiday + pension, flexible hours
Free parking and close to all public transport routes but car owner preferred
This is a superb role, to join a friendly finance team of 3, who require an experienced Accounts Payable controller who is willing to tackle all areas of AP with ease, and on a sole-charge basis. You will receive full training from the current AP Controller, but this role is ideal for candidates who offer a wealth of AP experience, and potentially who has used Sage previously.
The duties for the chosen AP Controller will be varied and hands-on and will include:
- Reporting to the Head Of Finance, taking responsibility for all areas of AP
- Matching, batching and coding of all invoices
- Responsible for weekly payment runs
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Setting up new suppliers
- Processing of all invoices (c150-200 per week)
- Ensuring PO numbers are on each invoice
- Working with the wider business, across 3 different sites, to ensure the AP processes are all smooth and efficient
- Taking responsibility for any process improvement, working closely with the Management Accountant and the Head of Finance
- Daily use of Sage and Excel
The ideal Accounts Payable specialist, will have covered all of the above duties previously and have a passion for all things AP!
Essential skills are strong attention to detail, accuracy, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency with accounting software - ideally Sage.
