Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role, you will provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across the organisation. You will play a key role in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations issues, and supporting strategic HR initiatives that contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
1. Provide accurate and timely HR advice to managers and employees on a wide range of HR issues, including employee relations, absence management, performance, and disciplinary matters.
2. Support and guide line managers through formal HR processes such as investigations, disciplinary hearings, grievances, and capability procedures.
3. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and compliance with employment legislation and best practices.
4. Assist with talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
5. Analyse HR data and trends to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
6. Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to building a positive workplace culture.
7. Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR and data protection requirements.
8. Participate in or lead HR-related projects as required.
9. Support the recruitment and induction of new employees into the site/business segment.
10. Develop working relationships with the management team in assigned site/business segment.
11. Support the payroll preparation for site/business segment.
Qualifications
Essential
12. Experience of delivering HR service in a manufacturing environment.
13. Experience of managing employee relations cases.
14. Good understanding of employment law.
15. Initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
16. Well-developed analytical and problem solving capability.
17. Ability to communicate clearly, clarifying requirements, responding to colleagues and customers.
18. Effective numeracy and IT skills.
19. Effective planning, organising and prioritising skills.
20. Ability to supervise staff, where appropriate.
21. Ability to plan or schedule work days and weeks ahead, and to respond to changing pressures or requirements.
