Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a well-established mid-tier accountancy practice with multiple offices across the North West. The firm provides full-service support to an extensive SME and owner-managed client base and is well recognised for developing its staff and offering genuine long-term progression.
This role sits within a strong outsourcing team, providing management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and virtual FD services to a range of clients who rely on the team to act as their outsourced finance function. It's an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and providing proactive financial insight.
Duties
* Deliver outsourced finance services to client businesses, including bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, and reporting
* Act as a virtual FD for selected clients, providing insight, advice, and financial oversight
* Support and guide junior team members within the outsourcing function
* Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for advisory work
* Review outputs for quality, accuracy, and compliance
* Work collaboratively with audit, accounts, and tax teams
* Contribute to improving processes, efficiency, and reporting quality
What we're looking for
* ACA/ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or equivalent experience in outsourced finance services
* Strong experience in management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and providing client-focused financial oversight
* Excellent communication and client-handling skills
* Ability to manage multiple assignments and support junior colleagues
* Comfortable providing advice and acting as a virtual FD for clients
