Role Overview – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
We are a leading manufacturer of high-precision, complex mechanical components for the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced, apprentice-trained CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn/Turner) to join our skilled manufacturing team on a permanent basis working on a double day shift.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
Set and operate CNC turning and mill-turn machinery
Produce complex, high-precision components from a variety of aerospace-grade materials to extremely tight tolerances
Full setting responsibilities, including tooling, fixtures and program adjustment/proving
Carry out first-off and in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
Complete all necessary quality documentation and maintain full traceability
Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives on the shop floor
Key Experience & Qualifications – CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn)
Minimum 3 years’ proven experience as a CNC Turner/Mill-Turn machinist
Completed apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification (highly desirable)
Strong background in precision engineering; aerospace or similar high-specification industry experience strongly preferred
Confident editing and proving programs at the machine control
Excellent drawing interpretation and geometric tolerancing skills
High attention to detail and a consistent right-first-time approach
