The role:

The Client Reporting Strategy Lead plays a critical role within St. James’s Place, accountable for the end-to-end strategy, transformation, and ongoing ownership of the regulatory and client reporting ecosystem across a complex, highly regulated wealth management environment.

Acting as a business Product Owner for Client Reporting, the role will own the transformation of a legacy, predominantly print-based reporting estate. It will ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of fund and investment performance information to over one million clients across the UK and selected Asian markets. A key focus will be the design of differentiated reporting experiences for Mass Affluent and High Net Worth (HNW) clients..

The role will define and deliver a future-focused reporting vision that balances regulatory obligations, operational resilience, and evolving client expectations. This includes differentiated reporting for mass affluent and high net worth clients. The role will progressively shift reporting toward richer digital experiences within the existing secure client app, while continuing to support high-quality print outputs for clients who require them.

What you'll be doing:

1. Serve as Product Owner for the client reporting domain, defining the vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities for regulatory and client reporting.
2. Own the end-to-end reporting lifecycle, from data sourcing and calculation through to content presentation, distribution, and archival.
3. Lead the transformation of legacy reporting platforms and processes into a scalable, resilient, and client-centric reporting ecosystem.
4. Ensure all client reporting meets regulatory requirements, including FCA rules, Consumer Duty outcomes, and jurisdiction-specific obligations for international clients.
5. Define and deliver the roadmap for evolving client reporting from print-led outputs to richer, digital-first experiences within the secure client app.
6. Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, reducing manual effort, risk, and operational cost while improving speed and quality.
7. Act as the central point of accountability for reporting-related change across Operations, Technology, Data, Finance, Compliance, and Client Experience teams.
8. Define success metrics for client reporting, covering accuracy, timeliness, client comprehension, digital adoption, and operational performance.
9. Produce regular reporting and insight for senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and progress against the roadmap.

Who we're looking for:

Significant experience leading multidisciplinary teams or virtual teams across product, operations, technology, or change functions. Including:

12. Demonstrable experience working in highly regulated environments with complex governance and control frameworks.
13. Experience owning large-scale, customer-facing platforms or processes with material regulatory and reputational risk.
14. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and bridge business, regulatory, and technical teams.
15. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and client outcomes.
16. Wealth Management/Asset Management/Retail Banking knowledge and experience.
