Sous Chef – Birmingham – 5 out of 7 days
Working hours: 5.30pm until 1.30am
Salary: £29,120 per annum

My client is a rapidly growing food production company. Due to a recent business win, they are looking to add a Sous Chef to their team.
You will be responsible for producing premium pre-packaged meals for a new client, which includes high-quality meat and sauces made from scratch. You will oversee junior team members, ensuring the production line operates smoothly and within set timeframes for delivery.
Ensure all HAACP, COSHH, and other food hygiene, health, and safety standards and procedures are followed, in line with industry and company policies.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Chef experience at Sous Chef level – backgrounds considered include hotel, restaurant, airside catering, and high-volume catering.
2. Experience overseeing junior team members, ensuring smooth and timely production.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of HAACP, COSHH, and RIDDOR, both in theory and practice.
4. Experience with SALSA or BRC standards is desirable but not essential.
Working hours are from 5.30pm to 1.30am, 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
