This is a highly hands-on position focused on electro-mechanical system design, experimental development and signal processing.
You will define requirements, design and prototype solutions and lead verification/validation activities within a regulated environment (ISO 13485). Youll collaborate closely with a network of third-party suppliers, contract development organisations, consultants and internal cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, compliant and manufacturable products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOwn electromechanical design of products and sub-assemblies from concept through detailed design, prototyping, and verification/validationDesign, build and refine experimental rigs and test setupsDevelop and optimise signal processing algorithms supporting device performancePlan and execute verification and validation (V&V) activities, including data analysis and clear technical reportingCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs to translate user needs into robust design solutionsLead relationships with external partners (suppliers, consultants, development partners)Ensure development activities comply with ISO 13485 and relevant medical device standards, including: ISO 14971 (Risk Management), IEC 62304 (Medical Device Software), IEC 60601 1 (Electrical Safety)Prepare and maintain high quality design documentation, including requirements, specifications, test protocols, and reportsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEEducational background in Physics, Physical Sciences, Electronics Engineering (or closely related field) or equivalent experience in product development within regulated industriesExperience with experimental development, testing and data analysisExposure to signal processing, modelling, or algorithm developmentExperience using engineering and modelling tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, SPICE, COMSOL or similarComfortable working at the interface of hardware, software, and systems engineeringExcellent problem-solving and communication skills and a collaborative team spiritEager to learn, with a drive for continuous improvementReady to Make an Impact?If you have the right skills and experience and want to join our team, apply today.
