It is essential to recognize the invaluable contributions of our capable engineers, who tirelessly maintain and ensure the seamless operation of our equipment. We are currently looking for a skilled and competent Electrician with a productive, innovative, and co-operative approach to work to join our Shops Maintenance team.
What will my role look like?
As the maintenance electrician, you will have an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and machinery in our shops; your responsibilities will include repairing appliances in our stores. You will play a crucial part in enhancing the condition of facilities and equipment, minimizing costly breakdowns, and contributing to the development of strategies aimed at improving the overall reliability of shop equipment. To assist you in completing this task, a company van will be provided.
Role Duties:
1. Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
2. Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
3. Diagnose and rectify breakdown problems.
4. Order and fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
5. Carry out preventative maintenance inspections.
6. Ability to deal with emergencies, breakdowns, and repairs.
7. Work collaboratively with the Shop Maintenance Manager to improve health & safety.
8. Ensure clear updates and communications with Shop Maintenance Manager.
9. You must have a minimum 18th edition and have a clean driving license.
Key Skills:
Time served Fully qualified Electrician and relevant trade qualifications.
10. BS2391 - Testing & inspection certification or an equivalent
11. 18th edition - wiring regulations
12. Ability to prioritise and organize workload.
13. Ability to carry out planned works alongside breakdowns, managing time effectively under pressure. and communicate effectively with colleagues.
14. Excellent communication skills
15. Flexibility to work unsociable hours.
16. Willingness and can-do attitude towards multiskilled tasks.
17. Support other team members where necessary.
