Realize your potential by joining the leading performance-driven advertising company!
As our Policy Director, you will be the chief architect of the global rules governing our ecosystem. Your mission is to pivot the policy function from a reactive unit into a proactive Research & Development domain. Reporting to the Head of Integrity & News Ops, you will define the standards that ensure marketplace health, balancing network integrity with aggressive commercial growth. You will thrive in this role if you are a strategic visionary who can turn complex regulatory landscapes into sustainable competitive advantages.
To thrive in this role you’ll need:
1. 10+ years in the advertising technology ecosystem, with deep fluency in technical infrastructure (OpenRTB, SSP/DSP dynamics) and marketplace economics.
2. Executive Presence: Proven ability to influence C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, defending policy decisions through the lens of long-term business value.
3. Commercial Acumen: You view policy as a business lever and can balance advertiser success with the overall health and reputation of the network.
4. Analytical Leadership: A track record of moving teams from “clearing queues” to “generating insights” with a strong bias toward automation.
5. Strategic Foresight: Ability to anticipate regulatory shifts and translate them into commercial opportunities.
It would be great if you also have:
6. An MBA, JD, or Master’s in Economics or Public Policy.
7. Experience in high-growth tech environments or “Policy-as-Code” implementation.
How you’ll make an impact:
8. Develop dual-sided standards for Supply (Publishers) and Demand (Advertisers) to maximize liquidity and safety.
9. Drive Policy Innovation: Partner with Product and R&D to embed policy requirements directly into the product lifecycle for automated scalability.
10. Lead Horizon Scanning: Research emerging risks and opportunities, specifically regarding the EU AI Act, AI-generated content, and deepfake technology.
11. Enable Business Growth: Serve as the primary consultant for Sales and Business Development, navigating “gray area” opportunities with a creative, business-first mindset.
12. Industry Advocacy: Represent the company in high-stakes discussions with Tier-1 partners (Apple, Microsoft, Yahoo) and industry bodies like the IAB and TAG.
13. Executive Advisory: Translate complex policy landscapes into clear business trade-offs for senior leadership.
