Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm, Friday 7:30am-1:00pm
Salary: £14.50 - £15.00
Holidays: 25 days per year plus paid bank holidays
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in precision machining and enjoys working on a variety of complex and challenging projects.
You will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components from engineering drawings. The role is hands-on and varied, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy, workshop-based environment and enjoys delivering precision parts consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and program CNC machines including lathes, milling machines, and multi-axis equipment.
Work accurately from engineering drawings and job specifications.
Produce precision components to tight tolerances.
Carry out quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a safe, clean working area.
Support general mechanical assembly work when required.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented working environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Time-served or holds a recognised engineering apprenticeship or qualification.
Experienced in CNC machining (turning, milling, multi-axis, or similar).
Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Able to work independently with excellent attention to detail.
Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced workshop environment.
