Principal Service Lead – Family Help & Integrated Family Safeguarding

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic senior leader to help shape the future of children’s social care in the West Midlands As Principal Service Lead for Family Help and the integration of Family Safeguarding and Adolescent Safeguarding, you will play a pivotal role in building a strong, relationship based, locality driven model of support for children, young people and families.
This is a unique opportunity to lead large, passionate teams through an exciting phase of transformation. You will strengthen and embed our Family Safeguarding model, improve outcomes through joined up pathways, and provide confident senior oversight of practice both in hours and through participation in the out of hours leadership rota.
What you’ll lead
• Integration of Family Help, Family Safeguarding and Adolescent Safeguarding services
• Transition to a locality model with accessible, place based support
• High quality, strengths based and trauma informed practice
• Performance, quality assurance and inspection readiness
• Strong partnerships with Early Help, Police, Health, Education and community services
What we’re looking for
A senior leader with:
• Significant leadership experience in children’s social care
• Strong expertise in safeguarding and risk management
• A passion for early intervention and relational practice
• Commitment to innovation, transformation and workforce stability
• The confidence to lead complex decision making, including out of hours
