Job Overview
We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND and other needs such as SEMH. This role supports children and young people with a range of difficulties including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other learning or developmental challenges. The position is based in the UK (remote/online possible) and requires a qualified teacher with experience in SEND, trauma‑informed practice, and a flexible, student‑centred approach.
Responsibilities
* Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
* Deliver core subject (Maths, English, or Science) tutoring and mentoring to pupils and students with SEND (KS1–KS5).
* Work within a trauma‑informed framework, supporting children with MLD, SLD, PMLD, and SEMH needs.
* Collaborate with schools and local authorities to design and deliver flexible support plans.
* Maintain CPD and employee mentoring within the TES CPD suite and professional mentor access.
* Participate in Support Team activities to ensure a coherent support system for children.
* Assist with community and company events, knowledge sharing, and resource dissemination.
* Engage in referral programmes and help grow the tutor network.
Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
* Minimum 2+ years teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
* Enhanced DBS background check (facilitated by the employer) and 2+ professional references.
* Strong subject familiarity in English, Maths, and/or Science.

Contract Details
Location: Shoreham by Sea, West Sussex, UK (remote/online possible). Salary: £28–£35 per hour. Contract: Fixed‑term. Right to work in the UK required.
