The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Science Teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated science lessons to small groups of autistic students. This role requires creativity, flexibility, and a deep understanding of the unique learning profiles of neurodivergent young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver adapted Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following a highly differentiated curriculum
* Use a range of communication strategies and teaching approaches to meet individual needs
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff
* Contribute to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) reviews and reporting
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Science at secondary level
* Experience working with children with autism and/or additional needs (school or alternative settings)
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
* A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
