Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Principal Pharmacist specialising in Operations, working across all sites within the organisation. The role involves overseeing the operational management of pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with clinical governance standards, and optimising workflows to deliver effective and safe pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities
* Lead on the operational delivery of Pharmacy services across the sites
* Responsible for developing Pharmacy service in line with the national workforce development plan and the needs of the Trust
* Responsible for the Pharmacy budget relating to the operational services, and the corresponding payroll and health roster
* Responsible for adherence to the governance framework including investigating medication-related incidents and completing all medicines management audits
* Manages and develops strategic relationships with the site Executive and the North West London ICS.
* Responsible for the provision of effective and efficient pharmacy dispensary and distribution services, including remote dispensary services, to meet the needs of the hospitals
* Working with the Divisional Finance team to proactively manage the operational budget
* Overall responsibility for the management, recruitment, training and appraisal of all pharmacy staff working within the pharmacy department
* Member of the Pharmacy Senior Leadership Team
