As a Logistics Manager you be be responsible for the management of Rampion O&M Warehouse Team, Mobilisation Logistics and Strategic materials management for the site. Managing the day to day operation of the warehouse with CMMS Order request processing and administration. This will include the management of two warehouse operatives who will work a shift rota to deliver daily warehouse logistics.
About the role
1. To ensure efficient processes in place for O&M mobilisation to support both Onshore & Offshore operations
2. The Logistics Manager will manage the strategy to stock spares, tools & equipment to comply with the site Maintenance plans for Offshore Wind Turbines and associated balance of Plant
3. To determine and implement Materials Management Strategy that aligns with the Maintenance Strategy for the site for short/mid/long term business plan
4. Warehouse operational logistics in place to support 7-day week / 365 days per year
5. Management of warehouse compliance with associated regulations and standards, e.g., PUWER, COSHH, Racking & Storage
6. Continuous improvement plan and lean methodologies in place to drive O&M efficiency
7. Site management for CMMS (Materials Management), this includes ERP strategy derived from historic consumption, component criticality studies & scheduled maintenance scope (PM) to manage Reorder Thresholds, Reorder Quantities & Safety stock levels
8. The Logistics Manager will represent the site at a Fleet level for latest MM strategy
9. Processes established via CMMS & warehouse free issue equipment to manage free issue daily consumables
10. Optimise stores layout and available smart storage equipment
11. Develop & implement warehouse operational procedures
12. Engage with site ancillary contract service providers such as fuel delivery, waste management etc
13. Control of purchasing to ensure financial administrative procedures and discipline are followed
Role requirements and experience
14. SAP MM user experience
15. Previous experience of managing operational logistics
16. IT proficient with Microsoft applications & Windows Explorer, proficient with computer-based work and extensive experience of using a wide range of office PC packages in a deadline-driven environment
17. Building and deciphering reports
18. High-level communication skills—adept at forming positive relationships and maintaining professional credibility with senior leaders and colleagues
19. Commercial awareness
Advantageous, but not essential
20. Previous experience of Offshore Wind or similar O&M
21. Contract management
22. Lean /Operational Excellence / Green Sigma
23. HSE qualification – IOSH /NEBOSH/COSHH
24. SAP PM user experience
