Job Role: Senior Endoscopy Decontamination Technician
Location: Orpington, and other KFM sites
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £29,250 - £31,100 per annum + up to 12 % annual bonus

As a Senior Endoscopy Decontamination Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our
decontamination units across multiple sites. Working closely with the Endoscopy Decontamination Supervisor, you will lead by
example — helping ensure flexible endoscopes are safely reprocessed and dispatched, and supporting a team of technicians to
deliver safe, effective care.
This is a hands-on, cross-site role that includes scope handling, use of specialist equipment, driving between locations, and
mentoring junior staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Reprocess and dispatch flexible endoscopes to clinical teams
* Monitor team performance and support technician development
* Support scope tracking, repairs, and loan coordination
* Maintain data integrity in the track-and-trace system
* Uphold and promote compliance with JAG, HTM 01-06, and other quality standards
* Ensure a clean, safe, and well-managed work environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Previous experience in endoscope decontamination
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Proven ability to train, support and work effectively in a team
* Manual dexterity and the ability to work under pressure
* Flexible, self-motivated and detail-oriented
Desirable:
* City & Guilds Decontamination Qualification
* Supervisory experience
* Stock control and supplier liaison experience
* Valid UK driving licence
