Full Time Role
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting a full-time Teacher to work within a specialist SEN setting for post-16 learners in the South Sheffield (S20) area.
This role involves supporting young people with a range of learning barriers, focusing primarily on life skills, independence, and preparing learners for adulthood and the world of work. You will be working as part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a large, modern educational setting that is easily accessible by public transport.
The Role:
Teaching post-16 learners with a variety of SEN needs
Delivering engaging lessons focused on life skills, employability, and independence
Supporting learners' personal, social, and emotional development
Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
Creating a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
Experience working with SEN learners (post-16 experience desirable but not essential)
A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A passion for supporting young people to achieve independence and confidence

Contract Details:
Permanent position
Initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment, before transferring onto a direct contract with the school
