What you'll be doing
In this role, you'll take ownership of delivering end-to-end audits across all technical aspects of technology and data, ensuring that IT General Controls are robust and support Brit's annual Sarbanes Oxley attestation process. You'll play a key part in delivering the Internal Audit Technology & Change plan, which includes conducting audits of specific transformation initiatives as well as thematic reviews across Brit's entire portfolio of change. Your work will involve close collaboration with stakeholders across the Technology & Data function and the wider business, as you help to shape the scope of audits, challenge prior assumptions, and provide valuable recommendations that support Brit's strategy in areas such as data, artificial intelligence, transformation, and simplification.
You'll be instrumental in championing Brit Internal Audit's multi-year Data Analytics strategy, supporting the upskilling of the wider Internal Audit function and encouraging the adoption of data-driven approaches. As part of your responsibilities, you will ensure that all audits are properly planned and executed in line with Internal Audit procedures, and you will work with management to negotiate and agree on findings and recommendations. You'll also produce high-quality audit reports for a range of audiences, including senior management, the Executive and Non-Executive Directors, and external parties such as regulators and auditors.
You'll see you coaching and supporting other team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of audit techniques, particularly in the use of data analytics. You will be proactive in staying up to date with technology and industry trends, and you will help to ensure that Brit's Internal Audit team remains at the forefront of best practice.
We welcome everyone wholeheartedly
