Job Description
As the Shift Technician, you will perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), respond to reactive electrical and mechanical issues, and provide detailed technical assessments. Your day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing faults, performing minor installations, maintaining plant reliability, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform PPM tasks and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct technical surveys and generate detailed reports for continuous improvement.
- Diagnose and repair faults promptly to ensure minimal disruption.
- Liaise with clients and manage subcontractors to meet service level expectations.
- Maintain and ensure tools and equipment are in excellent working condition.
- Offer cross-site support and contingency cover as needed.
- Follow quality assurance procedures and health & safety standards.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1, 2, and 3 or recognized equivalent.
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Mechanical qualification (C&G Parts 1 & 2) preferred.
- ACOP L8 training (water systems maintenance).
- PASMA/IPAF certified.
- Prior experience with Building Management Systems and business-critical environments.
- Competence in IT systems and computer-based PPM software.
