Business Intelligence / Data & Regulatory Returns Analyst City of London - HYBRID £80,000 MUST HAVE a minimum of 5 years' experience in a data or BI role within the Lloyd's or London Market insurance environment MUST HAVE demonstrable hands-on experience with regulatory returns (e.g. RRA, RRQ, Solvency II / SUK, PMD, QMB) MUST HAVE an understanding of reserving concepts and technical provisions within a syndicate or similar insurance context A hands-on role at the centre of regulatory reporting, reserving, and financial data operations within a London Market insurance environment. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of regulatory return submissions, reserving data pipelines, and technical provisions extracts, while also managing relationships with external auditors. The role requires a high degree of independence, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of the Lloyd's / London Market regulatory landscape. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Reporting Ownership Full ownership of regulatory return submissions (e.g. SUK / Solvency II, RRQ, RRA, PMD, QMB, QMR, NAIC, TRIA), from SQL data extraction through to template population, submission, and/or delivery to actuarial and finance teams. Reserving Data Management Management of reserving data processes, including maintaining reserving applications and reporting packs. This involves running periodic data extracts, performing data quality assurance, and maintaining technical provisions processes. These tools are heavily Excel/VBA-based and require strong spreadsheet automation skills. Audit & Compliance Support Managing audit and SOX-related requests, often on a time-sensitive basis. Responsibilities include preparing supporting documentation, responding to queries, implementing process improvements, and maintaining clear audit trails. Technical Provisions Process Ownership Independent responsibility for technical provisions processes, including data extraction, validation, and coordination with actuarial and finance teams. Regulatory Queries & Validation Responding to data validation queries and feedback from market regulatory bodies, including providing justification and supporting evidence for submitted data. Documentation & Process Improvement Developing and maintaining clear process documentation to ensure continuity, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
