What we are looking for We are seeking a Electrical Engineer, based full-time on site at Ascot Racecourse. The Electrical Engineer will support the delivery of all Electrical building services and temporary power infrastructure across the venue, working under the direction of the M&E Team Leader. You will be responsible for providing electrical engineering expertise to support long-term asset maintenance, system reliability and operational performance. Ensuring the longevity and efficient day-to-day operation of the racecourse’s electrical infrastructure. The role will also involve technical support during race days, events, and other operational activities, applying your knowledge of building services, plant operation and venue infrastructure to assist the wider team in delivering seamless, safe and high-performing facilities management. What you’ll be doing Monitor and complete reactive and PPM work orders using the CAFM system, ensuring timely completion and accurate record-keeping Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards within the M&E team Support the M&E Team Leader with contractor management, including oversight of the generator maintenance and associated service delivery Assist with onsite C.A.T scanning activities (training available if required) Monitor, document and analyse building performance data via the BMS platform, ensuring systems operate effectively Provide temporary power supplies for temporary structure & events when required Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all electrical building services, in line with site operating procedures and standard maintenance practices Conduct routine alarm testing, ensuring all results and certification are documented accurately and maintained in compliance logs Provide Race Day and event infrastructure support, ensuring electrical services meet operational demands during peak venue activity Support the team’s on-call rota, providing out-of-hours support (1 in 4 weeks) Such other duties as the Company may at times reasonably require Skills and experience you can bring Relevant qualifications and competencies in a Electrical discipline Significant experience as a Building Services Engineer within a large organisation Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings Hands-on experience with BMS systems (Schneider Eco Structure advantageous) Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirements Proven experience in fault-finding techniques Computer literate with good ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office What you can expect from us A best-in-class welcome with a tailored induction and racecourse tour, as well as a wide range of training schemes to help with your learning and development Access to a range of wellbeing support for yourself and your family including a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme and Healthcare support app with 24/7 virtual GP access Opportunity to make an impact in our volunteer week with a day out of the office to support local community and charity partners End of year offices closed (extra 2 days annual leave added to your entitlement) Time Off in Lieu (toil) for working weekend race days Clothing and hat hire Complimentary race day entry for friends and family Exclusive discounts in local shops and cafes Exclusive discounts from selected partner brands and suppliers And let’s not forget, invitations to our monthly social nights as well as annual parties and afternoon teas to celebrate our most special occasions throughout the year.
