Community Staff Nurse - 0-10 Public Health Nursing
Job Summary: Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families? Minimum hours: 22.5 hours over 3 days.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, Health Promotion and Education, Safeguarding and Early Intervention.
* Engage with children, young people and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
* Contribute to multi‑agency meetings and support decision‑making.
* Use virtual and digital technology to deliver service components.
* Meet travel requirements for the role.
* Receive specific training to support entry into this specialist area.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential Qualifications:
o Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration (Adult, Child, Learning Disabilities or Mental Health).
o Degree in Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
o Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office, Outlook and electronic health record systems.
o Willingness to provide original certificates to verify qualifications at offer.
* Essential Experience:
o Experience gained through clinical placements, community health, public health or similar settings.
o Exposure to working with children, young people and families.
o Basic understanding of health and developmental assessments (e.g., ASQ).
o Foundational safeguarding knowledge and ability to report concerns.
o Effective team collaboration and clear communication with colleagues, children and families.
o Accurate documentation and awareness of professional standards.
o Resilience in managing emotionally challenging situations.
* Desirable Experience:
o Experience working with children, young people and families.
o Evidence‑based practice demonstration.
o Multi‑agency working experience.
Knowledge & Person Specification
* Desirable: Knowledge of Public Health and Worcestershire priorities; knowledge of current NHS priorities for children, young people and families; understanding of the role of a Public Health Nurse.

Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 a year pro rata. Band 5. Permanent contract. Part‑time, flexible working pattern.
