NSB Recruitment is partnering with a respected, independent environmental consultancy to appoint an experienced Ecologist with strong bat expertise. You will take a lead role in delivering bat-focused surveys, assessments and mitigation, while contributing to a diverse portfolio of terrestrial ecology projects across development, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. The Role You will enjoy a varied and autonomous position where you will: Lead and deliver bat surveys, assessments and mitigation strategies Provide expert technical advice on bat licensing, habitat enhancement and mitigation design Coordinate and oversee field programmes, data analysis and reporting Produce high-quality technical reports and ecology chapters for planning submissions Support a range of wider ecology work, including protected species and habitat assessments Build positive relationships with clients, stakeholders and regulators Mentor junior team members and support their professional development Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to a high technical standard About You Experienced Ecologist with strong bat ecology expertise (licence holder or working towards) Sound understanding of UK wildlife legislation, policy and guidance Proven experience delivering and managing ecology projects Strong technical report writing and data interpretation skills Confident communicator, capable of building trust with clients and regulators Positive, organised and collaborative, with a passion for high-quality ecological outcomes CIEEM membership (or working towards) is desirable Why Apply?
