Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fire Engineer to join our team, responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in construction, ensuring that all fire safety measures comply with relevant regulations and standards. This role requires proficiency in system design and the ability to read and interpret schematics.
Duties
* Design and develop fire protection systems tailored to specific project requirements.
* Utilise CAD software to create detailed drawings and plans for fire safety installations.
* Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing systems and identify areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of fire safety equipment.
* Perform routine maintenance checks on fire systems, using hand tools and power tools as needed.
* Provide technical support and guidance during the installation process, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate documentation of system designs, installations, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in system design related to fire protection or similar fields.
* Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
* Familiarity with electrical systems and experience in electrical work is advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
* Previous experience in construction is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of building processes and safety standards.
