This is a 12-month paid placement as part of your sandwich degree course, providing hands-on experience and on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a thorough, risk-focused review of clients’ financial records, processes and controls to help ensure the accuracy of financial statements and build stakeholder confidence.
* Engage in client work from day one, initially as part of a larger team and progressively take on individual project responsibility.
* Work with a variety of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups, charities, pension schemes and not-for-profit organisations.
* Collaborate with current trainees and experienced team members and participate in internal training courses to develop in the role.
What we are looking for
* A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level).
* Be enrolled on a placement degree.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills for clear collaboration with team members and clients.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to solve problems.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships and stay calm under pressure.
* Genuine interest in business and commerce with a commercial outlook and strong organisational/time management skills.
* Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
Note: RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
Start date and eligibility
The start date for this role is 22 September 2026. Applications are subject to the firm’s internal and professional training requirements to provide the best start to your career with us.
