Help Shape the Future of Inclusive Arts and Culture
Join the Advisory Board at Attenborough Arts Centre
Attenborough Arts Centre is seeking new Advisory Board Members to help shape the future of one of the UKs leading centres for inclusive contemporary arts and culture.
With a mission of Art For All, Attenborough Arts Centre champions artists, communities and participation through contemporary visual arts, performance, learning and engagement programmes. As the Centre enters an exciting new chapter, guided by an ambitious Business Plan to 2030, it is focused on growing its national profile, strengthening its impact and building a financially sustainable future.
As Attenborough Arts Centre approaches its 30th anniversary in 2027, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the next stage of its journey.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with expertise or experience in:
Artistic programming
Museums and galleries leadership
Co-design with communities
Placemaking
Business innovation
Venue operations
Large-scale capital project delivery
You do not need previous Board experience. We value professional expertise alongside lived experience and are committed to broadening representation across our Advisory Board so it better reflects the communities we serve. We are especially keen to hear from disabled people, who remain underrepresented within the cultural sector.
We would love to hear from people with a connection to Leicester or Leicestershire who:
Are passionate about the work of Attenborough Arts Centre
Demonstrate integrity and commitment to the Nolan Principles of Public Life
Share our commitment to accessibility, inclusion and creativity
Want to contribute strategically to the future vision and impact of this much-loved cultural venue
This is a voluntary opportunity to support an ambitious organisation at the heart of the University and Leicesters cultural life.
Closing Date: July 2 at Midnight
