Our highly-trained staff provide bespoke therapeutic interventions, such as Thrive or Trauma Informed Practice, to address social emotional development and enable pupils to manage their behaviour and regulate their emotions so that they can form meaningful relationships throughout their lives. We teach our students how to regulate using the Zones of Regulation. We use Restorative Approaches to build and maintain a sense of community and to provide our pupils with the ability and attitude to respect the viewpoints of others and, when necessary, take responsibility for resolving conflict and putting things right.
In our Ofsted inspection in March 2023, Elms School continues to be a Good school.
Salary
KSA - full time equivalent £24,513 per annum (12.71 per hour), plus £1,442 allowance - this will be pro rata for part time, term time working.
Role and Responsibilities
Passenger Assistants/Escorts will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils during their journey. You will be collecting pupils from home and delivering them to school for an 8:30am start; collecting them from school at 3:00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 2:00pm Friday and dropping them home. You must be available for both the morning and afternoon runs.
The Successful Candidates
* Must be able to establish a rapport with pupils and parents
* Must be emotionally resilient
* Must possess a good sense of humour, be patient and remain calm in difficult circumstances
* Previous experience of escorting children with complex behavioural, social, emotional and mental health difficulties would be an advantage, but training will be given
