Overview
Based in Exeter, you will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team of around 90 Engineers and Technicians. Our friendly and supportive work environment fosters personal development across a variety of projects. We offer flexible structures to accommodate your growth and development.
Our office is well-connected, with good transport links, including a nearby train station, easy motorway access, and ample parking.
You will be part of our Water Sector Team, providing design expertise in collaboration with major UK water companies including South West Water, Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, United Utilities, and Yorkshire Water. Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will support an established team of MEICA Engineers in multidisciplinary design schemes to deliver projects within the Water sector, mentoring developing Engineers and Technicians. Projects vary in size and complexity, including optioneering, outline, or detailed design, for water companies or via contractors in design and construct contracts.
Typical duties include:
* Performing technical activities to ensure project delivery meets client requirements and standards
* Managing plans and schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards
* Liaising with clients and third parties
* Promoting health, safety, welfare, and environmental sustainability in all work areas
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential:
* Relevant degree or experience
* Full driving license
* Chartered or working towards chartership
Preferred:
* Experience working with water industry clients
* Relevant design experience
* Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
* Motivated with a positive attitude
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, BIM, and knowledge of BS7671
