A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sonographer to join our friendly and dedicated ultrasound team at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, part of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).
This 11-month maternity cover post offers the chance to work in a busy, supportive, and forward-thinking paediatric radiology department.

The Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC) provides a local service for Bristol children and a referral service for specialist care for families across the South West and nationally.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a wide range of specialised paediatric ultrasound examinations as part of a highly skilled team, contributing to high-quality patient care across areas including abdominal, renal and pelvic imaging (pre/post-pubertal uterine morphology and acute abdominal presentations such as appendicitis).
* Perform neonatal imaging (hips required; spine and cranial ultrasound preferred, but not essential).
* Carry out testicular ultrasound, neck and thyroid imaging, and MSK ultrasound (preferred, but not essential).
* Gain experience in additional ultrasound techniques such as liver elastography, post-transplant liver/renal imaging, and contrast ultrasound as opportunities arise.
* Work within the Trust to support patient care across paediatric imaging services.
Qualifications
* Candidates must hold a CASE-accredited PgCert / Dip / MSc or DMU qualification in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent.
Working Arrangements
Full-time or part-time will be considered, and flexible working arrangements are available and open for discussion.
