Female Personal Assistant aged 25+ required to support a male in his 30s with learning difficulties in the Peterlee area. All care will be given in his own home and you may need to provide overnight respite care in emergency situations.
Duties
* Making and preparing meals
* Assisting in keeping the living area clean and tidy
* Supporting with personal care as and when needed
* Supporting with medication
* Assistance to and from appointments together with the main carer
* Other general duties to be discussed at interview
Driver with own car essential. Reliable, must have experience in a caring role either paid or unpaid. Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and Autism preferred. Must have first aid experience with current proof of certification required. Successful applicants will need an enhanced DBS check prior to commencement; the employer will cover the cost.
Hours / Wage
£13 per hour, 5–7 hours per week. Flexible extra hours may be available to cover holidays and other absences – to be discussed at interview.
