The Role Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians to enable effective and efficient operation. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
What you’ll need to bring
* SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
* Understanding of medical terminology
* Evidence of effective teamwork and dealing with change
* Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues
* Excellent organisational skills
* Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
* Audio typing skills
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
Nice to have
* Health Records/Patient Administration knowledge through experience and/or
* Qualification at SVQ level 4, ECDL or equivalent
* Understanding of health record protocols on confidentiality and data protection
* Oral and written communication with effective customer care skills
* Experience in multitasking as part of a team and on your own initiative
Contract and working pattern
Contract type: Fixed Term or Secondment for 9 months. Full time: 37 hours per week. Please note this is a fixed term post for 1 year. If temporary funding and an existing NHS Lanarkshire staff member applies, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee must have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying.
Location: This role will be based in Emergency and Medical department within University Hospital Wishaw.
