We have an exciting opportunity for a laboratory manager at our Hammersmith Hospital Campus.
The post holder will play a vital role in the management and administration of the National Heart and Lung Institute research laboratories, predominantly on the 3rd floor of the Dr Victor Phillip Dahdaleh building. The role involves providing operational laboratory management and supporting the Heads of Section and Principal Investigators in managing their Health and Safety responsibilities.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the research laboratories, including maintaining laboratory stocks and financial recharging, arranging equipment servicing and repairs, carrying out staff and student inductions, and acting as the local safety coordinator. You will also line-manage a laboratory support technician who provides support throughout the Dr Victor Dahdaleh Building.
* You will be an experienced laboratory manager with demonstrable knowledge of laboratory safety and equipment in a biomedical research setting.
* You will have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with and influence a range of people at various levels and manage conflict effectively.
