Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint 3 motivated and dynamic Service Support Managers to join our Medicine Division within the subspecialities of Neurology; Cardiology and Stroke. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency across urgent, emergency, outpatient, and elective pathways.
Main duties of the job
As a Service Support Manager, you will:
1. Provide management support to divisional colleagues and administrative teams.
2. Assist in achieving local and national performance targets, including patient access standards.
3. Support the development and implementation of service policies, projects, and strategies.
4. Collate and analyse data to drive service improvements.
5. Deputise for senior managers when required and represent the service at Trust-wide forums.

Key Responsibilities
6. Lead and support administrative teams, ensuring effective service delivery.
7. Managing performance against key targets including RTT, Cancer, Diagnostics and UEC
8. Contribute to governance, risk management, and compliance with Trust policies.
9. Foster collaborative relationships with clinical and operational colleagues.

Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
11. Educated to degree level in relevant subject or demonstrable equivalent experience in business administration

12. Significant previous administrative experience
13. Proven experience of report writing and analysing data
14. Experience of working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines
15. Experience of supervising and supporting colleagues
Desirable criteria
16. Previous experience in a healthcare setting
17. Knowledge of requirements in relation to patient waits
18. Experience of presenting reports and data
