Attendance Officer – Wakefield
Are you organised, proactive, and passionate about making a difference in schools? A fantastic opportunity has opened for an Attendance Officer in Wakefield. You’ll play a key role in monitoring student attendance, supporting staff with data management, and engaging with parents to ensure pupils are in school and thriving.
Location: Wakefield
Rate: Up to £140 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day
Start Date: Immediately
What you’ll do:
* Keep accurate records of attendance and generate reports
* Contact parents and carers to address absences
* Work with staff to identify and support students at risk of poor attendance
* Help improve overall attendance and punctuality across the school
About you:
* Organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience in education or administration is a bonus, but not essential
Safeguarding:
This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful applicants must satisfy all safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new check.
