Senior HGV Plant Engineer

Location: Oxfordshire (with UK travel)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Overtime + Company Van + Fuel Card + Phone

Renowned for its supportive culture, investment in its people, and long-term career opportunities, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior HGV / Heavy Plant Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with specialist equipment, and being part of a company where expertise is genuinely valued.

You'll work both from the Bicester workshop and at customer sites across the UK, maintaining and repairing a range of specialist machinery including concrete mixers, pumps, batching plants, silos and volumetric mixers.

Key Responsibilities

* Diagnose, repair, service and maintain specialist heavy plant and HGV equipment.
* Carry out advanced fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
* Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning of machinery.
* Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues when required.
* Attend customer sites to diagnose faults and deliver high levels of customer service.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop and service operation.

About You

* Proven experience as a Senior HGV Engineer, Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter or similar.
* Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Experience working with 12V, 24V and ideally 3-phase electrical systems.
* High-level expertise across mechanics, hydraulics, 12/24V & 3-Phase electrics, electronics and diagnostics
* Able to work independently and professionally on customer sites.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
