Data Center Facilities Operations Control Engineer

đź•’ Contract: 6-Month Contract
đź’˛ Rate: Up to ÂŁ55/hr
🔍 What You'll Be Doing:
* Oversee disaster recovery testing in line with strict data center standards
* Own and deliver high-impact, cross-functional projects with business-critical outcomes
* Manage and report on key operational metrics and performance indicators
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations
* Act as the lead point of contact during annual audits, ensuring all deliverables are tracked and met
* Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization across operations workflows
* Drive transformation by scoping, planning, and executing improvement initiatives
* Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
* Mentor and coach Network Operations teams on tooling, systems, and operational excellence
* Contribute to broader infrastructure strategy, including on-prem, hybrid, and cloud models
✅ What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field
* OR 5–10 years of hands-on experience in operations, engineering, or team leadership
* Strong experience in enterprise network infrastructure: design, deployment, and maintenance
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex, quick-turn projects with confidence and clarity
* Clear, structured communication style and ability to present technical insights to broad audiences
* Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
* Proactive, autonomous work style with excellent judgment under pressure
* Some travel may be required
