Main duties of the job
As an Optometry Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting our clinical teams across the RUH Eye Clinic and Frome Medical Practice. Day‑to‑day, you’ll learn to carry out a variety of important eye‑health tests and assessments, such as:
* Measuring visual acuity
* Completing visual field tests
* Capturing retinal and anterior chamber images
* Performing OCT (optical coherence tomography) scans
* Supporting biometry measurements
You’ll also help with essential administrative tasks, working closely with our Senior Optometry Technicians to keep our clinics running smoothly.
