Overview
Our client, a respected consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking experienced Senior Utility Surveyors to join their team. The positions are available in the Oxford area, Chelmsford, and North London, offering a dynamic role in various high-profile projects, including highways, EV charging and resurfacing works.
Responsibilities
* Conducting utility surveys using GPR and radio detection equipment (CAT and Genny)
* Utilising GPS kit for precise surveying work
* Uploading data from home, minimising the need for office visits
* Collaborating closely with internal CAD teams and participating in daily communications via Slack
* Working primarily on highways-related projects with occasional rail sector engagements
* Managing and executing projects related to drainage works and private sector contracts
* Maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in survey operations
* Reporting directly to the team leader, Simon
Qualifications
* Experience in utility surveying, including the use of GPR and radio detection equipment
* Proficiency in using GPS kits for accurate data collection
* Ability to manage projects efficiently and meet tight deadlines
* Strong communication skills for daily interactions and reporting
* Flexibility to work both day shifts and occasional night shifts
* Experience with topographical surveying (excluding land surveying)
* Capability to work independently and upload data remotely
* Significant experience in utility surveying, preferably in the highways sector
