Most students have either a statement of special educational needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).Staff work collaboratively across teaching, support, and therapy teams to deliver personalised learning programmes tailored to each student's strengths and interests. * Delivering high-quality teaching tailored to the individual educational needs and abilities of each pupil.
* Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that are age-appropriate and aligned with pupils' levels of ability.
* Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' progress, attainment, and behaviour in a clear and consistent manner.
* Promoting and maintaining good order and discipline, while ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all pupils at all times.
* Supporting the effective management, organisation, and discipline of the school in all reasonable and practical ways.
* Collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues to promote the best outcomes for all pupils.
* Engaging with parents and carers to ensure their children's needs are understood and met.
What you'll need to succeed
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
* Ideally possesses experience teaching in special educational needs (SEN) setting
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and its practical application in the classroom
* A positive, proactive, and patient individual with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
* A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
* Capable of building strong, supportive working relationships with both pupils and colleagues
