In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of our contract team, reporting directly to the Major Maintenance Manager.
This position is offered on a Fixed Term Contract until late 2027.

Your Profile
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
As a Maintenance Engineer/Package Manager, you will:
* Organize and coordinate all logistical operations for major maintenance contracts, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and safety.
* Liaise with Autolink and external organizations for major maintenance contracts, assisting with structure inspections and maintenance schemes.
* Manage and supervise various works packages based on project requirements, which may include night and weekend shifts.
* Produce and implement Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Inspection and Test Plans.
* Conduct site reviews of Major Maintenance Scope of Works prior to package commencement.
* Ensure subcontractors have up-to-date CSCS and CPCS cards relevant to their roles.
* Implement Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all checks are completed and documented.
* Participate actively in start-up and progress meetings, familiarizing yourself with the scope of works for each package.
* Manage subcontractors in line with CMS requirements and ensure timely documentation of meeting minutes and actions.
* Assist in liaising with various stakeholders, including the Employer's Agent and Emergency Services.
* Support the Project Manager in compiling information for the Health and Safety File.
* Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations.
* Maintain driver log books and ensure vehicles are clean and well-maintained.
* Report any health and safety breaches immediately, ensuring work is halted until the situation is rectified.
What Skills and Knowledge Are Essential?
* Experience in the Highways Maintenance Sector with a solid understanding of relevant processes.
* Good knowledge of maintenance products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
* Familiarity with software packages such as Insight, Highstone, IRIS, and SMS.
* A degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* A relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card.
