IT Delivery Manager (AGILE) - Northwest/Lancashire (Hybrid working)

We are urgently seeking proven experience as an IT Delivery Manager (AGILE) to work on this long-term freelance assignment for a major Public Sector organisation based in the Northwest of England (Lancashire region).

Key responsibilities:
* Agile Delivery & Team Leadership: Lead an agile software delivery team, drive sprint planning/execution, proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and quickly build strong working relationships across engineering and delivery partners.
* Technical & Platform Competence: Operate effectively from day one with ServiceNow; strong Jira skills at team and programme level; familiarity with testing, data platforms & flows, and modern engineering practices; awareness of Azure, AWS, Terraform, Gti strategies, and release pipelines.
* Planning, Coordination & Execution: maintain ordered backlogs, create delivery plans, track progress, and ensure timely reporting and communication of delivery status to stakeholders.
* Problem Framing & Continuous Improvement: Perform discovery activities, quickly understand business needs and technical roadmaps; apply an agile mindset to remove impediments & innovate around constraints.
* Collaboration & Community Leadership: Work closely with Product Managers, engineering stakeholders, and other DMs across the organisation, sharing rationale and best practice across the wider community.
