Marketing Manager - Fixed Term Contract

Hybrid working across Leicester and Manchester, with occasional travel to Glasgow. The role will be predominantly home-based, with flexibility required depending on business needs.

This is a 12-month maternity cover role within the Energy Management Services (EMS) Division of DCC Energy GB.

The role is responsible for marketing and campaign delivery across DTGen and Protech Group, working closely with sales, engineering, and leadership teams to support commercial priorities and customer needs.

In addition to managing DTGen and Protech Group activity, the role requires collaboration with other EMS brands within DCC Energy GB, including Centreco (Solar PV), Freedom Heat Pumps (heat pump distribution), and Equity Energies (energy consultancy and procurement). This supports joined-up marketing activity where customer needs span multiple EMS capabilities.

The role reports into the EMS Marketing Director and is focused on continuity, effective delivery, and maintaining momentum during the maternity cover period. The role will focus on delivering against an agreed marketing plan for the financial year, ensuring activity is executed effectively and priorities remain on track.

DCC Energy GB operates across a diverse portfolio of energy and engineering businesses, supporting customers with secure, efficient, and lower-carbon energy solutions.

Within DCC Energy GB, the Energy Management Services (EMS) Division brings together specialist brands delivering engineered power generation, HVAC and building services, solar PV, heat pumps, and energy consultancy and procurement. Together, these businesses support customers across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors as they manage energy cost, security, resilience, and carbon reduction.

DTGen is a leader in the design, supply, installation, testing, and maintenance of CHP and standby power systems, supporting critical infrastructure and prestige commercial customers across the UK.

Protech Group provides bespoke HVAC, energy, and water management services, with a strong focus on compliance, performance, and long-term customer partnerships.

About the role:

Campaign Management:

* Lead marketing campaigns for DTGen and Protech Group Limited.

* Ensure alignment with business priorities and customer needs.

* Plan, deliver and review campaigns to ensure effectiveness and impact.

Marketing Communication:

* Develop and execute targeted marketing communications across appropriate channels.

* Maximise reach, engagement, and conversion.

* Maintain awareness of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity.

Stakeholder Engagement:

* Act as the day-to-day marketing partner for EMS leadership and sales teams

* Collaborate closely with engineering, technical, and commercial stakeholders

* Work alongside marketing peers across Centreco, Freedom Heat Pumps, and Equity Energies

* Manage external agencies and specialist suppliers as required

Audience Profiling and Targeting:

* Implement data-driven targeting strategies.

* Optimise messaging for different audiences.

Brand Development and Positioning:

* Protect and strengthen the DTGen and Protech Group brands.

* Collaborate with the EMS marketing team to support development and articulation of the DCC Energy EMS proposition.

* Ensure consistent application of brand standards and positioning.

* Work with content and digital colleagues to maintain a professional, credible market presence.

Market Development and Business Growth:

* Support identification of growth opportunities across EMS solutions.

* Align marketing activity to sales objectives and pipeline development.

* Contribute marketing insight to support wider business planning.

Team Collaboration and Line Management:

* Line manage a Marketing Co-ordinator within DTGen providing clear direction, support and prioritisation.

* Support the Marketing Co-ordinator with delivery of campaigns, events, social media content, photoshoots and case studies.

* Provide mentorship and support for career growth.

* Work collaboratively within the EMS and DCC Energy GB marketing community.

Thought Leadership and Industry Advocacy:

* Represent DTGen and Protech Group Limited at industry events.

* Contribute to thought leadership content.

* Position both brands as credible, trusted partners in the energy transition.

About you::

* Marketing Expertise: Proven experience in strategic marketing, campaign planning, and execution.

* Technical Understanding: Familiarity with energy engineering concepts and solutions.

* Stakeholder Management: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.

* Leadership Skills: Strong team management, coaching, and mentoring abilities.

* Business Acumen: Resource planning, budgeting, and forecasting proficiency.

* Translate complex engineering and energy technologies into powerful marketing narratives.
* Leverage advanced CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot) to orchestrate end-to-end campaigns with precision from segmentation and lead scoring to nurture journeys and ROI dashboards.
* Interrogate data with commercial curiosity using insight tools to link marketing impact to revenue, uncover growth opportunities, and optimise performance in real time.
* Act as a strategic bridge between marketing and engineering confidently partnering with technical experts to co-create content, propositions, and value-based messaging that differentiates DTGen and Protech in a crowded market.
* Craft compelling sales enablement tools and go-to-market assets including CPD content, technical brochures, and tender response materials that blend storytelling with technical rigour.
* Develop and implement SEO and content strategies that elevate thought leadership, drive inbound leads, and position the business as a trusted energy transition advisor.
* Run a high-performance marketing operation managing agency partners, internal creatives, and campaign workflows with calm precision and quality control.
* Lead with budget ownership and commercial acumen tracking spend and impact with a sharp eye on ROI and long-term value creation.
* Build standout event, webinar, and industry engagement plans enhancing brand visibility and creating moments that shift perception and generate pipeline.
