Applications are invited from candidates who are suitably qualified and experienced in clerical work to join our busy secretarial team within the colorectal department.
The successful candidate will work with the secretaries in the department to provide a comprehensive clerical and secretarial service to the team of Consultants and the wider team.
You will be required to transcribe clinical documentation using the Trusts’ digital dictation system. You may also be required to act up as a Team Secretary for short periods of leave once settled into the role.
The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills. It would be an advantage if you possess OCR / RSA III typewriting, word processing, or equivalent experience, along with knowledge of IT packages and their applications.
Site preference will be considered and discussed at interview.

The successful candidate will support the admin teams within Surgery, using the Trusts’ Patient Administration System (PAS) to transcribe clinical documentation via the digital dictation system. You may also act as a Team Secretary during short periods of leave.
