The Role
* Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience
* Supporting the Head of Department with curriculum development and strategic planning
* Driving high standards in coursework, NEA, and examination outcomes
* Supporting staff development, mentoring colleagues, and modelling excellent practice
* Monitoring pupil progress and implementing attainment strategies
* Ensuring workshop safety, compliance, and effective resource management
* Assisting with departmental quality assurance and moderation processes
* Contributing to whole-school leadership initiatives where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Strong experience teaching DT at secondary level
* Leadership potential or prior middle leadership experience
* A strong track record of raising standards and improving outcomes
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Confidence supporting curriculum planning and departmental strategy
* Strong understanding of workshop health & safety compliance
