We're pleased to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Procurement professional to join a respected housing organisation as a Senior Construction Procurement Manager on an interim basis of up to 12 months. If you enjoy hands‑on procurement work, delivering value, and supporting major housing investment programmes, this role could be an ideal fit.
This position requires two days a week on‑site, allowing you to build strong working relationships and maintain clear oversight of ongoing projects.
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of an ambitious improvement programme across over 9,000 homes, with approximately £70 million allocated to this year's capital works. Your responsibilities will include preparing tender documents, managing end‑to‑end tender processes, and supporting projects through to the contract‑award stage.
In addition, you will offer guidance, oversight, and performance support to direct reports - ensuring high‑quality outputs, balanced workloads, and adherence to procurement standards.
You will work closely with colleagues across Property and Procurement teams, contributing to a varied pipeline of projects ranging from smaller‑scale works to major procurements above and below PA23 thresholds. What We're Looking For
Strong procurement experience, ideally within construction
CIPS and/or TPP qualifications (desirable)
Solid understanding of public‑sector procurement processes
Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities
Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills
Someone who can start at short notice
