As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Software Sales Consultant to help us expand our reach and impact across the education sector.

This is not a desk-only sales role. You will be building real relationships with Headteachers, MAT leaders, HR Directors, and senior decision makers across schools, multi-academy trusts, local authorities, and further education. If you understand the pressures education leaders face around recruitment and retention, and can position software and services that genuinely solve those challenges, this role is for you.

What you will be doing

1. Generating new business opportunities across schools, MATs, FE colleges, and wider education groups
2. Managing both inbound enquiries and proactive outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, and campaigns
3. Engaging and booking meetings with senior decision makers, understanding their challenges, and positioning the right solutions
4. Selling Eteach and FEjobs platforms, recruitment software, advertising packages, and talent attraction services
5. Building long-term partnerships through a consultative, value-led sales approach
6. Maintaining accurate pipeline data in the CRM, including forecasting opportunity value and conversion likelihood
7. Working closely with the FE Director and wider sales leadership to review pipeline health, volume, and velocity
8. Attending education sector events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to generate and follow up on new leads
9. Feeding back customer insights, objections, and market trends to help shape sales and marketing strategy
10. Reporting regularly on pipeline performance, meeting quality, and forecasting accuracy
11. Providing occasional guidance and support to more junior team members to maintain strong sales standards

What we are looking for

12. At least 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, business development, or software sales
13. Experience balancing outbound prospecting with converting inbound leads
14. A strong understanding of how schools, MATs, and FE organisations operate, ideally gained through selling into the education sector or education recruitment
15. Proven success in booking and running high-quality meetings with senior decision makers
16. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to forecast and manage the pipeline effectively
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
18. Confident using CRM systems and sales tools
19. Highly organised, self-motivated, and target-driven
