We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our recovery team. We are seeking a qualified professional who can demonstrate excellent and efficient post-operative patient care. You are required to have excellent communication skills and communicate effectively with the MDT, matrons, and clinical coordinators, be a team person, be empathetic and be able to remain calm and steady under pressure. This role also requires a reassuring manner and the understanding of the rights, privacy & dignity and safeguarding of all patients.
You will have the motivation, vision and leadership qualities necessary to keep the Recovery Room a safe, productive and efficient area. As a key member of the team, you will have the ability to support, teach and develop junior staff and facilitate the delivery of high standards for safe post-operative patient care. You will participate in cleaning, restocking, and preparation of the Recovery Room before and after receiving patients.
Delivering high quality, evidence-based and patient-focused clinical care through:
1. Delivering a high standard of evidence-based care to patients.
2. Ensuring good standards of care for the patient are maintained at all times.
3. Adhering to NMC Code of Professional conduct at all times.
4. Involving and supporting patients, relatives, carers and friends in the care process.
5. Promoting well-being and involving patients and relatives in health education.
6. Ensuring clear and accurate written and verbal information is given at all times.
7. Ensuring contemporaneous record keeping at all times.
8. Seeking advice from more senior/experienced staff where appropriate.
