Full Stack Engineer | TypeScript, Node.js & React | Greenfield API Platform
* Day rate: £450–£550/day (Outside IR35)
* Remote Working (UK)
* 6-month contract (with likely extension)
The Role
You will join a high-performing engineering team to build a brand-new API-driven platform, taking a proof of concept through to production. This is a hands-on full stack role with a strong backend focus, centred around designing secure, scalable REST APIs and building robust, data-driven user interfaces.
You’ll be working within a microservices architecture, contributing to a core API service that underpins multiple products. Security is central to this role; you will own authentication, authorisation, and data access patterns across the stack.
You’ll collaborate closely with a team of engineers and QA, contributing to architecture decisions, coding standards, and delivery practices in a fast-moving environment.
You’ll be joining a globally recognised data organisation whose platforms are used by major enterprises, financial institutions, and governments to drive transparency and decision-making around environmental impact. This is a business where engineering directly influences real-world outcomes at scale.
What You'll Have Experience With:
* TypeScript across backend and frontend
* Node.js services (NestJS or similar frameworks)
* React & Next.js frontend applications
* RESTful API architecture
* Microservices-based systems
* SQL databases (relational)
* ORMs such as Prisma
* Authentication & identity integrations
* Agile delivery within a collaborative engineering squad
Nice to Haves:
* External identity providers (Entra ID, Okta, Google)
* Policy-based or rules-based authorisation
* Advanced database security features
* Microservices architecture at scale
* Experience working on greenfield products
