We are a caring and inclusive After School Service dedicated to providing a safe, supportive and engaging environment for children age 4-13. We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic After School Support Worker to join our team.
Duties
* Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Organise and lead engaging educational games, arts and crafts, or recreational activities.
* Support behavioural management by promoting positive interactions among children.
* Communicate effectively with parent/carers and other staff regarding children's progress or concerns.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment conducive to learning and play.
* Follow organisational policies and procedures related to child safety and safeguarding
Skills
* Prior experience in teaching or supporting children is highly desirable
* Strong organisational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Ability to build trusting relationships with children and colleagues
* Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude towards young learners
* Ability to adapt activities to meet diverse needs of children
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
