Role Description
We seek a dedicated Security Architect reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, Security Architect. Your key responsibilities will include understanding, analysing, and aligning security policies with frameworks, mapping policies to compliance standards, identifying gaps, and ensuring policy consistency across Defence and Army standards.
You will collaborate with senior security architects, compliance teams, and security personnel to integrate security policies into the organisation, contribute to assurance reviews, and stay updated on evolving security standards. This role provides a foundation for growth into advanced cybersecurity architecture and governance roles.
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to interpret security policies, frameworks, and compliance requirements
* Experience in mapping security policies to standards like NIST RMF
* Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and overlaps
* Knowledge of GDPR and other regulatory frameworks
* Effective communication skills for engaging with stakeholders
* Organisational skills to handle multiple priorities
* Knowledge of Cyber Security
Desirable: Security certifications such as CISM or CRISC.

Additional Information
This role is open to UK nationals only. Successful candidates will undergo security vetting, including developed vetting. The position is part-time, at 37 hours/week, with occasional travel within the UK.
